What we build
Proposals written a month apart rarely match: the structure shifts, scope is worded differently, and the rates come from whichever old document was open. A Claude Project fixes that by keeping your instructions and reference files in one place, loaded at the start of every chat.
In this session I build one live, starting from a blank page, and you build yours alongside me using your own material. By the end you have drafted a proposal from a short client brief and tested whether the Project holds up when you run it again.
Session outline
-
1Set up the ProjectCreate it from scratch and write the instructions that fix your proposal structure, your tone, and what Claude must never make up: prices, dates and client facts.
-
2Load your source materialChoose the past proposals, service descriptions, rate card and standard terms worth including, and trim them so Claude draws on the right parts.
-
3Draft from a real briefTurn client call notes or an RFP into a first-draft proposal, and see where the output is right and where it is not.
-
4Test and tightenRun the same brief more than once, spot where the drafts drift, and fix the instructions until they stop drifting.
-
5Questions and next stepsWhere else the same setup works, and how to keep the Project current as your services and rates change.
What you leave with
- A working proposal Project built from your own material, ready for your next proposal.
- A set of instructions you can adapt for other repeat documents, like scopes of work or engagement letters.
- A simple routine for checking that drafts stay consistent as you update the Project.
Who it is for
Consultants, advisors, agencies and small professional-services firms that write proposals regularly. No technical background needed: if you can write a proposal, you can build this.
What to bring
- A laptop.
- A Claude account you can sign in to.
- Two or three past proposals or service descriptions you are comfortable using. Remove anything client-confidential first.
